Welcome to the Olivet Heavenly Harvest located at 97 Mrytle ave Staten Island,NY we are in our eight year of production. Our goal is to grow the best organic vegetables therefore: distributing them to local neighbors, food pantries, churches, and other organizations that help those in need within the community. We have had the privilege and honor from Citizen Committee awarding us a community grant 2015, 2016, 2017,2018, and 2019 & 2020. In 2021 we were honored to receive The Revered Rolland Ratmeyer Founders Award from Project Hospitality. The garden consists of 17 raised beds and some various fruit bearing trees we also have an area for tomatoes and 20 large containers for various vegetables. In 2023 we donated 2350 pounds of fresh vegetables to our local food pantries. We are also a destination for a 24-hour food scrap drop off center. The food scraps helps us in our demonstrations for the Hot Pile Builds. There are flower beds that surround the garden area along with an elaborated herb garden. The welcome center that was built by the boy scouts offers an area of relaxation for those that are visiting the garden. Plus, we were featured on television and in the newspaper Olivet Heavenly Harvest is a unique community garden on Staten Island, New York. We offer the opportunity to enjoy the garden in various ways as a volunteer. There are no membership dues, required hours , and requirements to join us in volunteering.
